Abstract
Elveden’s local food distribution operations have been acquired by Thomas Ridley Foodservice in a deal that also includes the Tastes of Anglia wholesale trading business.

Thomas Ridley Foodservice will fully integrate this business into their one-stop-shop foodservice operation and build on Elveden’s and Tastes of Anglia’s regional distribution network.

Rachel Summers, director of Thomas Ridley Foodservice, said: “This acquisition is an exciting move complementing our existing foodservice offering, and broadening our range of specialist ingredients and regional goods. We see this an opportunity for us to work closely with the suppliers to expand their market and distribute local and regional goods further afield.”

Natasha Card, manager of Elveden Food Hub, said: “We believe that with Thomas Ridley Foodservice’s experience, they will be able to deliver enormous efficiencies in the distribution to customers, while also opening up a much wider market place for the suppliers.”

Thomas Ridley Foodservice provides a food service solution to the catering industry delivering a comprehensive range of chilled, ambient, fresh, frozen, professional hygiene and catering sundries.
