Public Sector Catering unveils full programme for upcoming Expo

Abstract
Public Sector Catering has unveiled the full programme of speakers, cooking demonstrations and informed industry debates for the upcoming Expo, which is taking place at NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire on 18-19th November.

The Public Sector Catering Expo brings together chefs and caterers from across all areas of the public sector and includes an exhibition of over 100 suppliers. Attendees will be from a variety of sectors including schools, hospitals, care homes, universities, prisons, the armed forces and catering colleges.

Tuesday 18th November 2025 seminar programme includes:

  • 10.30, National Food Strategy: Where are we and the role of the public sector
  • 11.45, Advance Plant Growth Centre – The Protein Future: Derek Stewart
  • 12.30, Keynote speaker: Gareth Wyn Jones, British farming and public sector – challenges and opportunities
  • 1.30, State of the Nation panel discussion, involving Jayne Jones, Michael Hales, Iain Robertson, Neel Radia, Amanda Pettingill and Denise Bean.

Wednesday 19th November Public Sector Catering Kitchen – a day of demonstrations hosted by Hairy Biker Si King:

  • 10.30, Hospitals: 2024 NHS Chefs of the Year - Manuela Miccoli and Alejandro Hernandez 
  • 11.30, Schools: 2025 LACA School Chef of the Year - Erin Ward
  • 12.30, Si King cookery demonstration
  • 1.30, Care homes: NACC Chef of the Year – TBC

At 3pm on day two of the Public Sector Catering Expo the results of Exercise Joint Caterer (EJC) will be announced. It is a showcase of skills and challenges chefs at the highest level, demonstrating the role military caterers play in the delivery of an effective armed force.

Those working in a public sector catering environment can register to attend the unique event free of charge.
