Hospitality and catering students from Hartlepool College have been advised to look at careers in the business side of the food industry by sandwich company, On a Roll.
The students visited Crockford Bridge Farm in Surrey last month to pick their own recipe supplies, which they then took back to their schools and used to make mango chutney.
In addition to the riders, which are requests for a specific food or drink item made by performers, GIG served more than 3,000 lunches and dinners, and around 600 breakfasts on both weekends.
The free event will include food and drink from a number of London restaurants alongside a host of other activities. The restaurants involved include Smokey Tails and The Good Egg.
Other dates scheduled on Tetley’s calendar include the Silverstone Classic later this month and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo which runs throughout August.
The seminar entitled ‘Food and packaging waste reduction policy - investment, innovation and enforcement’ will feature talks from among others Chris Preston, deputy director of waste and recycling
The event, which is dedicated to trade and media professionals, will feature 160 stalls and be attended by industry experts such as celebrity chef and radio host, Aldo Zilli.
Love has previously worked as sous chef at Heston Blumenthal’s Hind’s Head in Bray, where he was also awarded a Michelin star during his time as head chef.
The events and backstage catering company partnered with Azerbaijani company Fresh Catering MMC for the second time after previously working together at the 2015 European Games.
