Following an initial pilot at nine hospitals last year, the Trust received £5,000 funding from Sophie’s Legacy to introduce a hot meal initiative as part of the national parents to be fed campaign.
This campaign is supported by 24 healthcare organisations representing more than one million members.
Both charities share a common goal of redistributing food to those who need it most.
The Forum is the only national event dedicated to the production, delivery and service of nutritious food to patients, staff and visitors in the NHS.
Led by managing director Claudia Mascino, Peabodys Coffee started its journey in 1997 in London hospitals, with food that is freshly prepared daily.
The final, which involved eight teams from around the country, took place at The Cookery School at The Grand Hotel in York last week.
